Cojines boho
Este proyecto es el resultado de otros dos que ya les había mostrado anteriormente: el tapiz teñido y los cojines perfectos.
Y la verdad me encanta juntar DIY`s para hacer otros nuevos. Si lo pensamos, los cruces son infinitos, podemos reinventar una técnica cuantas veces queramos para conseguir cientos de resultados diferentes. Así que la invitación es que ustedes también se animen.
Este en particular lo hice pensando en mi living. Estamos cambiando algunas cosas, redecorando, y sentí que los cojines necesitaban un refresh.
Así que opté por un estilo boho, con unos flecos como aplicaciones que le dan un toque divertido y coquetón.
Materiales:
- Crea cruda
- Anilina para telas: Yo usé el color Solferino de la marca Mont Blanc.
- Hilo de algodón (para amarrar la tela durante el teñido)
- Flecos: en mi caso usé uno rosado más corto y otro beige más largo.
- Tijeras
- Regla
- Lápiz
- Máquina de coser

Boho cushions
This project is the result of the combination of two others that I’ve shown you previously: the dyed tapestry and the perfect cushions.
The truth is that I like to combine DIY projects to make new ones. If we think about it, the combinations are infinite, we can reinvent a same technique as many times as we want to obtain hundreds of different results. So, I invite you to try it out.
This particular one, I made thinking of my living room. We are changing some stuff, redecorating and I felt that the cushions needed some freshening up. So, I opted for a boho style with some tassels which give it a fun and cheeky touch.
Materials
- Nude cotton fabric
- Fabric dye: I used Mont Blanc brand “Solferino” colour
- Cotton thread (to tie up the fabric while you dye it)
- Tassels: in this case I used one short pink coloured one and a longer beige one
- Scissors
- A ruler
- A pen
- Sewing Machine
Lo primero que debes hacer es teñir la tela. Puedes ver cómo hacerlo en este post. Ojo, que en esta oportunidad agregué muy poca anilina y mantuve la tela sólo unos segundos en el agua para obtener un color suave, pero eso dependerá de tu gusto.
Lava con agua fría, deja secar y plancha.
Es hora de comenzar con la funda. En este post te enseñé la fórmula perfecta para hacerla.
En este caso, el cojín mide 40×40 cms, por lo tanto el cálculo es el siguiente:
Para la parte frontal, corta una pieza de 42 x 42 (considerando 2 centímetros extras para las costuras), mientras que para la parte posterior, con solapas, usa la fórmula:
Ancho del cojín (con los dos centímetros extra) + 22 = X : 2 = ? Es decir, 42 + 22 = 64 : 2 = 32.
Esto significa que debes cortar dos piezas de 42 x 32 centímetros.
Haz una basta en la piezas traseras, en los lados que quedarán abiertos para meter el cojín.

The first thing you need to do is dye the fabric. You can see how to do that in this post. Be careful, on this occasion I used just a small amount of dye and I left the fabric in the dye for just a few moments to obtain a soft colour, but this will depend on your taste.
Wash in cold water, leave to dry and iron the fabric.
Its time to start the cushion cover. In this post I showed you the perfect method for doing this.
For this project the cushion measures 40cm x 40cm, so the calculation is as follows:
For the front panel, cut a piece 42cm x 42cm (taking into account an extra 2cm for the seams), meanwhile for the back panel, with overlaps, use the following formula:
Width of the cushion (including the extra 2 cm) + 22cm = X: 2 =? So, 42 + 22 = 64: 2 = 32
This means you will need to cut two pieces of 42 x 32 cm
Sew a hem into the rear pieces, along each side that will remain open to fit the cushion in.
Luego, “arma” tu funda para coserla: enfrenta las piezas posteriores y anterior y entremedio pon los flecos, tal como muestra la foto.

Then, put your cushion together ready to be sewn: place the back panels against the front panel and place the tassels in between as shown in the photo.
Cose por todo el contorno y una vez listo, plancha las costuras y esquinas.
Por último, gira tu funda y rellénala.

Sew it together around the edge and once ready, iron the seams and the corners.
Finally, turn it inside out and stuff it.
Recuerda echar una miradita a los post antes mencionados, sobre todo el de la fórmula para hacer cojines, así evitarás cualquier error de cálculo y tendrás más detalles de cómo hacerlo.
