Nuestro primer mueble hecho a mano/ Our first handmade furniture
¿Os acordáis que antes de las vacaciones de Semana Santa os comenté que estaba trabajando en un proyecto con Chalk Paint? Pues bien, ya puedo decir que lo hemos terminado; han sido unos días en los que he podido trabajar en un proyecto común con mi encantador novio, creando un pequeño mueble juntos. Sin él no podría haber llevado acabo el proyecto ;).
La idea surgió porque necesitábamos más espacio para almacenar cosas en la cocina, la cual es un poquito pequeña. Estuvimos buscando algún mueble estrecho y bonito, pero no encontramos ninguno que encajase en el espacio. Así que un día, mientras esperábamos para embarcar en un avión, decidimos aventurarnos a diseñar y crear nuestro propio mueble. Por lo tanto, tuvimos que dibujarlo, pensar cómo cortar los paneles de madera y cómo unir todas las piezas para que fuese estable y fuerte. Toda esta parte fue la más difícil de llevar acabo, pero después de ella tan solo quedaba pintarlo y como os había dicho anteriormente lo hicimos con Chalk Paint de la tienda Crea, recicla y decora. Tengo que reconocer que estuve esperando a que apareciera un proyecto interesante para usar estas pinturas, y este fue el escogido.

Do you remember that before the Easter holidays I told you I was working in a project with Chalk Paint? Well, finally I can say it»s finished, it has been a lovely time that I could spend with my charming boyfriend making a piece of furniture together. This project couldn»t be made without him ;).
The idea has come up because we need some more room to store things in our kitchen that is actually a little tiny. We were looking for some lovely narrow piece of furniture, but we didn»t find anything that suits in this little space. So, one day when we were waiting to load in a plane, we decided to venture to design and create our piece of furniture to measure. Therefore, we had to draw it, think how to cut the wood and how to stick every piece to make it stable and strong. All this part of the project was the most difficult, after that, we only had to paint it and as I have stated before was with Chalk Paint from the shop Crea, recicla y decora. I have to own up that I had been waiting to find a project to work with these paints and this was the selected.

Los acabados seguramente no son tan perfectos como los de un carpintero, aún asi estamos muy orgullosos de nuestro pequeño mueble así que he decidido hacer un mini vídeo.

The finish may be not as perfect as a carpenter, even though we are very proud of our furniture so I have decided to make a short video of it.
