DIY – Running Belt

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Hello my seamstresses!

Today I finally bring you the third video on sportswear. I’m going to show you how to make a running belt. I’ve had this idea in my head for a long time. When I go running, specially in summer, I need to bring a bottle of water hydration. This is where I felt the need to have “something” to put the bottle in, and at the same time, I thought it would be great if I could keep the mobile and the keys at the same time.

So I started using the typical velcro belt that weighs a ton, but I did not like it at all. I’ll show it to you in the video. It is a wide belt, which does not fit well on the hip. For me, it’s a men’s belt. As they have no waist, the belt remains fixed at their hips. But not one, the belt keeps on moving up and down. So after testing the velcro belt several times, I was recommended and elastic belt similar to the one I’m showing you how to make. The ones I was recommended are of a brand called Lurbel, and the truth is that they look very good. But when I saw them, I thought I could do it myself. It’s a great belt. A couple of months passed, I had too much work and ended up leaving this idea aside. At the running fair which was celebrated due to the Valencia Marathon in Valencia on the 19th of November, I discovered a brand called “Flip Belt” and I liked it a lot more! So to fulfil my November sewing plans I filmed the tutorial, and finally  made it.  So here you can see the result and the full tutorial.
