DIY proyects: Before and after
Hello friends!!! Today I took advantage of my free time to write this post; many of you know by now that I’m super obsessed with DIY projects. Do it yourself is the meaning, for those who do not know, of the word DIY or Hazlo tú mismo in Spanish and it is clear that this blog is about this, to do and create nice things for everyday living and of course have fun doing it.
This project is very simple and shows how easy it is to transform any object into something completely different giving that personal touch that we like :D. For me it is very important to translate my ideas into tutorials and photos that can help you enter in the world of crafts and get that creative side in you.
As you can see in the picture I decorated some cardboard letters dressing them with pastel colours and floral decoupage paper.
Steps to follow:
For the letter «D» use the lilac T-shirt yarn; You have to simply roll it inside the letter until well covered.
Fixed the ends of the fabric using a glue gun or super glue in order to keep it firm.
Hola amigos!!! Hoy he aprovechado parte de mi tiempo libre para escribir este post; muchos de ustedes me van conociendo poco a poco y saben que estoy súper obsesionada con los trabajos DIY. Para los que no lo saben DIY significa Do it yourself o Hazlo tú mismo en español y claro que de esto se trata este blog, de hacer y crear cosas bonitas para el diario vivir y por supuesto divertirnos haciéndolo.
Este proyecto es muy sencillo y demuestra lo fácil que es transformar cualquier objeto en algo completamente diferente dandole ese sello personal que tanto deseamos :D. Para mi es bien importante plasmar mis ideas en tutoriales y fotos que puedan ayudarte a abrirte paso en el mundo de las manualidades y sacar ese lado creativo que llevas dentro.
Como puedes ver en la foto he decorado unas letras de cartón con trapillo de colores pasteles y papel de decoupage floreado.
Pasos a seguir:
Para la letra «D» utilice el trapillo lila. Simplemente lo tienes que ir enrollando dentro de la letra hasta que quede bien cubierta. Fija los extremos del trapillo utilizando alguna pistola de silicona o pegamento para que se mantenga bien firme.
Then we proceed with the letter «I». I came up with the idea of cutting the top of the letter and decorate it inside. In some projects I have seen that some people have decorated them with flowers, cotton balls and other materials that are really very nice.
In this case what I did was cut into pieces the light pink T-shirt yarn and attach them with glue to fill the entire surface.
Luego vamos con la letra «I». Se me ocurrió la idea de cortar la parte superior de la letra y decorarla por dentro. En algunos proyectos he visto que las decoran con flores, pompones de algodón y otro tipo de materiales que la verdad quedan muy bonitas.
En este caso lo que hice fue cortar el trapillo rosa claro en trocitos y los fui adhiriendo con pegamento hasta rellenar toda la superficie.
Finally, I decorated the letter «Y» with decoupage paper, paint the edges with acrylic paint and wrap a little pink fabric at the lower end. In one of my recent post I explain the decoupage technique, if you are interested in it click here!…
And… This is the final result…
Por último la letra «Y» la decoré con papel para decoupage, pinte los bordes con acrílico y enrolle un poco de trapillo rosa en el extremo inferior. En uno de mis post recientes explico la técnica del decoupage, si te interesa conocerla pincha aquí!…
