Libros interesantes sobre DIY (V) / Interesting books about DIY (V)

¡Hola! Nueva semana y toca hablar de dos nuevos libros sobre el DIY. Bueno, el segundo no es exactamente un libro de proyectos y técnicas, aunque os puede ser muy útil si vivís en Barcelona o estáis pensando en visitar la ciudad. ¡Vamos haya!
 
El primer libro es sobre la técnica del bordado y ha sido publicado tanto en inglés como en castellano. Si habéis hecho algún taller para aprender a bordar y queréis practicar vuestras nuevas habilidades o preferís aprender nuevos puntos este libro os irá genial. En mi opinión es uno de esos libros que no puede faltar en nuestras librerías. La versión en castellano del libro se llama «Manual práctico de Bordado» y ha sido editado por Oceano Ambar; ya van por la quinta edición. En él, encontraréis más de 200 puntos básicos desde el punto de cruz y cadeneta hasta otros más complejos. Todos ellos organizados de acuerdo a su uso y explicados en detalle a través de fotografías y sencillos diagramas. Si queréis ver un poquito sobre su contenido hacer clic aquí.
 
El segundo no es exactamente un libro, es una edición limitada de una guía de Barcelona sobre el handmade, es decir, una guía de tiendas organizadas por tiendas que imparten talleres y puedes comprar materiales, tiendas que venden productos handmade, mercadillos, pastelerías y cafeterías, espacios al aire libre, mercerías de toda la vida y algunas sugerencias de grupos a seguir por Internet. El nombre de esta guía es «Barcelona Handmade» escrita por The Crafty Days. Es realmente fantástica, es pequeñita y puedes llevarla contigo a cualquier parte en tu bolso. Además aún siendo de Barcelona he descubierto sitios nuevos gracias a esta guía ;). Hello! New week and it»s time to talk about two more books about DIY. Well, the second one it»s not exactly a book about projects or techniques, but it will be useful if you are living in Barcelona or think about visiting the city. Here we go!

The first books it»s about embroidery techniques and has been published in English and Spanish. If you have taken a workshop to learn embroidery and want to practices your new ability or you would like to know new stitches this is a perfect book. I would say it»s an essential book that cannot lack in our library. The English version of the book it»s called «The Embroidery Stitch Bible» and his publisher is Search Press Ltd. Inside, you will find over 200 embroidery stitches from basic cross stitch and chain stitch to more complicated. All these stitches are arranged according to their use and each is explained in full with photographs and easy diagrams. If you would like to see a sneak peek inside the book click here.

The second one is not exactly a book, it»s limited edition Barcelona guide about handmade, in other words, it»s guide of shops arranged by shops where you can attend a workshop and buy materials, shops that sell handmade products, markets, bakeries and cafes, outside spaces, lifelong haberdashery and some suggestion of groups to follow on the internet. The name of this guide it»s «Barceclona Handmade» written by The Crafty Days. It»s really perfect, is little and you can carry with it everywhere inside your handbag.
